GTA announces partnership with charity organisation, Bikes 4 Life

The 2019 AITPM National Conference is one of the key events in the transport industry, providing a forum to present to an industry audience and participate in discussions around improving transport outcomes across Australia.

For companies, it is an opportunity to showcase their services, their industry leadership and their talented professionals. However, as with any event, there is a considerable amount of promotional material created, most of which has a short lifespan.

For the 2019 National Conference, GTA has decided to do things differently by repurposing all funds from branded merchandise at the Conference to donate to charity organisation Bikes 4 Life.

Bikes 4 Life is a non-for-profit organisation that alleviates poverty and social injustice in Australia and overseas by recycling and restoring discarded bicycles. The funds will help empower vulnerable communities through active transport and ultimately enhance their standard of living.

Their work has already transformed the lives of many families by widening employment opportunities, gaining easier access to remote sources of food and water, and ensuring that children can regularly attend schools.

To this end, GTA has designed printed flyers* to advertise the partnership, donating $5 on behalf of each attendee at the National Conference. In addition to this, if participants photograph either side of the flyer, post on LinkedIn and tag @GTA Consultants, we will double the donation to $10.

As an organisation, we feel it incredibly important to contribute to our communities, not only through our work as a transport consultancy, but also through charity partnerships, donations and events within our own office.

We hope that a majority of participants at the AITPM National Conference will support our objective and maximise the donation, which we will announce via LinkedIn on Wednesday 7th of August, 2019.

*All flyers have been printed on 100% recycled paper, and are entirely recyclable after their current use.
