Pullman Ibis Conference Centre at Brisbane Airport
GTA Consultants was commissioned by Watpac to prepare a Traffic and Transport Management Plan (TMP) for the construction of the Pullman Ibis Conference
The conference centre is part of a larger $150M development at Brisbane Airport which will included the 5 star Pullman Hotel and the 3.5 star Ibis hotel.
The site is being developed by the Flynn Property group to and is to be constructed by Watpac.
Located between the 5 star Pullman Hotel and the 3.5 star Ibis hotel, the Conference Centre will be capable of hosting up to 600 delegates across 13 conference and meeting rooms, including a 300 seat pillar-less ballroom, boardrooms, business centre, cloakroom and generous breakout terrace
The scope of the Traffic and Transport Management Plan included provisions for temporary car parking and safe traffic operations around the site during construction as well as identification of pedestrian and traffic management post completion.
Watpac prepared a site establishment plan based on initial discussions with GTA and feedback from Brisbane Airport Corporation. A review of the suitability of elements of the strategy has been included within the plan.
Construction is currently underway with a completion scheduled for April 2017.
